Hugh Jackman talks about his Emmy award at LAX

LAXLAXLAX

Proud Hugh Jackman celebrated his Emmy Award by hauling his prized trophy around in a plastic bag. The Aussie star refused to let the famous prize out of his sight as he jetted out of Los Angeles.Bearded Jackman, who plays Wolverine in the blockbuster 'X-Men' films, carried the wrapped-up award onto the plane with him as hand luggage. Jackman, 36, flew with wife Deborra-Lee to Vancouver, Canada, where he is filming 'X-Men 3' scenes. Asked how he felt at winning the award, Jackman, wearing a leather jacket and baseball cap, said: "Yeah, great." Asked if he would like to host the Emmy Awards one day, he laughed and said: "Ah, mate we'll have to see.". Jackman opens the bag and lets the camera look inside saying: "There it is." You do not get to see the award because it is wrapped up.

2005-09-18 Variety.com - Surprises, secrets backstage
Hugh Jackman, who scooped up his first Emmy for hosting the 2004 Tony Awards, says he won because "basically, I'll make an ass of myself anywhere."
Thesp shook his rear on stage -- and coaxed Sarah Jessica Parker to do the same -- in a leopard print shirt and gold pants during last year's kudocast.
As for golden guy, Jackman said the trophy will go in storage until he buys a home. What would his five-year-old son do? "Probably look at it for an hour then paint it or throw it in the pool."
